Hegelmann finished second in the Lithuanian league last year, and are currently in the same spot. They’re only behind on goal difference, so they’re having a good season. The club were only founded 16 years ago, back in 2009.
St Patrick’s Athletic have been drawn against FC Hegelmann of Lithuania. The first leg will be in Dublin, and the second away.
The draw will start shortly, as the UEFA representatives are out discussing the ins-and-outs of the draw again.
The Champions League draw delivered as exciting a tie as we could have hoped for in Shelbourne vs Linfield, but there’ll be no big clash for Pat’s. They could face FCB Magpies (Gibraltar), BFC Daugavpils (Latvia), NSÍ Runavík (Faroe Islands), or FC Hegelmann (Lithuania).

The dates of those games will be finalised later, but Shels will host Linfield on July 8th or 9th. The return leg will be played on the 15th or 16th in Belfast.

The draw is nearly set to begin, with UEFA officials currently taking us through how the draw works.
Linfield are seeded in today’s draw, whereas Shelbourne are not. This is due to their consistent record of qualifying in Europe, while Shelbourne are less experienced in continental competition.
There’s good news for Shamrock Rovers today ahead of the Conference League draw. After the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) upheld UEFA’s decision to remove Drogheda United from the competition, Rovers and FC Dinamo City of Albania have both been moved into the second qualifying round draw.

The Champions League draw is set to get underway at 1pm.
