The chief executive of Irish Continental Group (ICG) saw his remuneration fall last year as overall directors’ pay at the ferry operator fell by 16.5 per cent.

Eamonn Rothwell received overall pay in 2011 of €1.1 million, down 24 per cent, according to the group’s annual report published yesterday. Of this, €499,000 was paid in salary, and €396,000 in performance pay.

Finance director Garry O’Dea saw his package fall, down to €500,000, of which €283,000 was paid in salary. Marketing director Tony Kelly saw his remuneration advance by €3,000 to €357,000.
